TACO BELL: The Chicagoland Taco Bell Restaurant Association which launched its mobile contest effort for their Concert Series VIP Ticket Sweepstakes, has received nearly 1000 text entrants in just three short weeks. The contest which is being promoted on both local radio and through in-store signage is far exceeding the initiative's online entry alternative. Katie Bernasek, Senior Account Executive with ESW Partners, the restaurant group's advertising agency, said "This is The Chicago Taco Bell Co-Op's first foray into mobile marketing since 2005, and has been impressed with Image Architecture's intelligent approach and exceptional technology giving us great confidence that there will be a place for both IA and texting in our efforts for the years to come." |
SAM'S: Brian Rosen, President of Sam's Wine & Spirits, was interviewed on WMAQ-TV's (NBC affiliate) Morning News in late June. At the end of the interview Brian briefly mentioned (and only once) that viewers could enjoy a 15% discount on any of the $10 and under wines featured in the segment simply by texting WINE to a certain 5-digit number. Within minutes, forty-one texts were sent, while countless others flocked to their stores seeking the 'mobile only' discount. Merritt DeWitt, Director of Marketing for Sam's, said "It's rare to be able to so clearly assess the value of a public relations initiative. Not only could I establish a tangible ROI, but also gained valuable perspective on the effectiveness of television when used with a compelling call-to-action." |
